Students had to enable "unsafe scripts." Many problems were unrepeatable - a students would send me a screenshot of a problem. Other issues: I couldn't manually mark buggy lessons as complete for students. Even then, it took me being very assertive to get them to admit that the problem was on their end (& would take months to fix). Only after I'd sent them several user complaints, screenshots, and videos did they start to listen. The first several times I tried to contact support about the problem, they blamed the problem on the users. A specific example of this is when they had a bug with the radio buttons in Captivate quizzes. ![]() There are many things I could talk about, but the worst was the support. To our dismay, the problems did not improve. So, we moved our courses to Adobe Captivate Prime (which required considerable time and effort). For example, the user needing to enable pop-ups and unsafe scripts, the files freezing, and a student watching the entire lesson and then not having it register as completed. When we used Moodle as our LMS, we often had problems. So it's not necessarily a issue with the program, but I wish it was easier to log in, generally.Ĭons: We built our entire curriculum on Adobe Captivate (100s of files). I think this just has to do with general interface and the way that people are given their passwords and their login info. We have other people that have issues with logging in. Sometimes, we have issues with logging in. Something that I would change about Adobe Activate Prime is its initial login procedures. Coming from an HR team or somebody that's an administrator, it's easy to roll out and ultimately, all of the troubleshooting and kind of the changes that might occur on the software are easy to navigate. The user interface is pretty straightforward. What I really like about Adobe Captivate Prime is that it's easy to use. It's kind of like a one, two software for us. We have different presentations and things that we kind of distribute through Adobe Captivate. We use Adobe Captivate Prime to bring on some of our new employees and give them training tools and materials. I use Adobe Captivate, and I would rate it four on a scale of one to five.
